Our Family Is Just Like Yours.....Almost!

Picture
My parents are Jim & Georgia Beaver.  My father is a retired teacher and my mom worked as a care giver to the elderly in our small town of Minonk, IL. They live in Southern Illinois now, close to where they both grew up.  If you ask missionaries what the hardest part of being overseas is - It is without a doubt, being away from your family. Everyday we miss our family and our country.  Things in a 3rd world country are very difficult in some aspects, but they are also beautiful, rewarding, eye-opening and certainly life changing.  God's plan for our family is to be in the Philippines and establish our ministry.  Our rewards are gained everyday and more to come.  I looked forward to moving back to the U.S. some day, but until then I cherish every day of every visit home.

This is my "KUYA" (Filipino for big brother) and his wonderful son, Travis.  I had the priviledge of helping my nephew move to College Station for school over one summer.  It is such a great moment, when you realize that the little boy you knew has grown into such a great young man.

Please, share the WOW site with anyone who may be interested!!!
